It is with great pride and pleasure that I am happy to announce and introduce the newest association of the United Kennel Club. The NBPPA, is a direct answer, to many of the voices throughout the UKC, of the PP format. Many of us who run in this format were able to see that with its steady growth, bigger entries and new PP clubs opening across the Country, the time was right for us to have our own association to oversee and improve the format and rules. What may have taken years to improve, will now take months! We will work closely with not only the UKC, but also the membership and ALL participants of PP, to make this the best of pack hounds events of any registry. Every member will have a right to vote on issues of importance, and PP judging seminars, will be a very common and welcomed addition in perfecting our format. Growing pains will be for sure, but with patience and support from our membership, they will be minimal, and understandable. There will be many questions I’m sure, and over the next few months they will all be addressed. The NBPPA, has a “who's-who” of pack beaglers from across the country representing, NY PA OH WV VA MI IN IW KY TN and MO.. Not to mention, a few other states and some Canadian friends! PURINA, has jumped on board as our first National sponsor, so it’s only fitting to call our NBPPA trials “PURINA CHALLENGE POINT HUNTS”!

It will be our mission to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred beagles
and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection, to urge members and
breeders to set a standard of excellence by which Beagles shall be judged, to do all in its
power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition,
to conduct sanctioned and unsanctioned field trials in accordance with the UKC Performance Pack Rules,
to conduct judging workshops or seminars for the UKC Performance Pack judges.
